Pacific Islands: Cook Islands. North America: USA. Oceania: New Zealand, Fiji. Middle East: UAE.

Needless to say there are still ALOT of places i would LOVE to go to. These include Asia: Japan, Hong Kong, China, Thailand. Africa: South Africa, Mauritius, Seychelles.

Below is a photo of my trip to the USA back in December 2016,  on board  Air New Zealand  Flight 6 , operated by a Boeing 777-300,  bound for Los Angeles, after we had just taken off from Auckland, at around 7pm. Hence, you can see the gradual darkening of the sky into night time in this photo. It was overall a pleasant flight with brilliant service and tonnes of movie watching.

QANTAS ADVANCING WITH WIFI ON DOMESTIC FLIGHTS WHILST VIRGIN EYES LA ROUTES

With Cathay Pacific planning to roll out wi-fi on its Boeing 777s and Airbus A330s, Australian airlines Qantas and Virgin Australia are going head to head with delivering wi-fi on their flights. Qantas so far has installed wifi on 15 of its 80 Boeing 737-800 aircraft seven months since the launch of the Qantas wi-fi service.  It is stepping up its game with Gen2 technology platform which will see more efficient and faster wifi than the system installed on the first aircraft. The medium to long range Qantas A330s which fly from east to west will also get the Gen2 technology platform , and this will see the entire domestic Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A330 fleet outfitted by the end of 2018.  Qantas does plan to install wifi on its international routes. Competitor Virgin Australia  is currently fitting the first of five  Boeing 777-300ERs with satellite wifi. The other four will be all fitted by April 2018.

SINGAPORE AIRLINES LAUNCHES NEW FIRST CLASS SUITE ON A380

With Etihad dominating  the skies with its “The Apartment Suites” on the A380 which is award winning, and Emirates announcing its revamping of its First class Suites also on the A380 as well as Boeing 777-300ER , Singapore Airlines has responded with all new cabin class products. But this report will specifically look at its all new First Class offering. Its existing first class products on the A380 was 12 years old, so an overhaul was definitely overdue.  The new fittings will be present on the 5 new A380s Singapore Airlines has ordered and 14 of its existing A380s will be retrofitted. The new First Class features a 32′ HD TV,  a Poltrona Frau Swivel Chair upholstered in fine leather, sliding privacy doors, a fully flat bed as well an ottoman stool . In contrast to the existing layout of Singapore’s A380s, there will only be 6 first class suites compared to the 12 present. This guarantees a much more spacious and intimate cabin as well as a more one to one tailored cabin service.

MY RECOMMENDATIONS: TOP HOTELS TO STAY IN LAS VEGAS

Las Vegas, also known as “Sin City” is a colourful and vibing city in Nevada, USA. It attracts all sorts of people from the high roller gamblers to tourists. Some of Las Vegas’s best hotels are located in the most famous section of Las Vegas known as “The Strip”.  Below is a list of hotels i have stayed at, and highly recommend staying at when you visit Las Vegas.

#1. The Bellagio

The Bellagio is a grand 5 star hotel on the Strip that is well known for its opulence.  By personal opinion, i would argue, this is one of the best hotels on “The Strip”.  It boasts some amazing pools and cabanas,  concierge,  a spa salon and a gym , luxurious rooms ranging from the Fountain View King and Queen Rooms to the  Executive Hospitality Suite,  as well as an array of fine bars including  “The Bank” with exotic design  great music and unparalleled customer service and “The Petrossian” named one of America’s best hotel bars by the hospitality industry’s Santé Magazine, thanks to Bellagio’s team of seasoned mixologists. Restaurant wise it offers the best dining such as “Le Cirque” a AAA Five Diamond Award hotel , featuring a  contemporary French cuisine set seamlessly within an intimate, jewel box setting , and Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant and Lounge Executive Chef Akira Back uses the highest quality of seasonal fish and ingredients to create his delicious culinary masterpieces with elegant wood and stone decor in the dining room and lounge foster a vibrant and sensual atmosphere. Entertainment wise Bellagio doesnt disappoint with constant events on such as Cirque Du Soleil and the famous  “Dancing Fountains”.

#2 The Wynn

Wynn Las Vegas is towards the end of “The Strip” and has a twin called “Encore” right next door to it.  Wynn holds more Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Awards than any other independent hotel company in the world. It has resort rooms and tower suites from Deluxe Suite to Panoramic Corner affording fabulous views . Tower suites range from Tower King Suite to the Fairway Villa. As per Las Vegas standards, it has casinos and high end shopping designer boutique stores such as Alexander Mcqueen, Louis Vuitton, Cartier and Rolex to name a few. For your relaxation needs, it also has a spa salon with many treatment spaces, sauna and plunge pools or bask in the soft glow of the sun-lit atrium. There are also gyms with nationally certified personal trainers and daily fitness classes. If you want to beautify yourself there is the Claude Baruk Salon that  offers a full menu of exceptional cut, color and rejuvenating treatment services. Experience the culmination of a restorative treatment and a sense of well-being with a hair-spa ritual that is designed to renew hair, body and mind. . There are also pools with service and private cabanas for hire. And if you love golf, a 18 hole golf course you can play to your heart’s content!

#3 Mandalay Bay

Located at the end of the strip, Mandalay Bay is a luxurious resort with renown for its entertainment precincts, that attract high profile celebrities in nightclubs such as LIGHT nightclub and bars such as the opulent SkyFall Lounge offering 180 degree views of the city below. If you like the cold, head to Minus 5 Ice Bar,it  lets you explore intricately handcrafted sculptures and architecture made from 100% pure Canadian ice. Everything that surrounds you is pure, crystal-clear glacial ice, from the seats to the cocktail glasses. There is Cirque du Soleil “One” in honour of the late Michael Jackson, which i saw during my visit in December 2016. It is something i highly recommend you see and is emotion invoking, with phenomenal choreography , lights and sound/effects. There is also the “House of Blues” Hall. In addition, there is “Shark Reef Aquarium” and “The Big Apple Coaster and Arcade” .  Rooms range from the Resort King to the Conference/Media Suite.
